Following audience comments on wanting to know a little background into Fordante and how the music gets created over the next few weeks I’m going to be creating a series of videos of Fordante either in concert or in the studio rehearsing.
I’m also producing a ‘Behind The Scenes’ video so that those interested can see the stages of taking a musical idea, arranging, notating through to rehearsing and then performing in concert. This might be of interest for anyone who wants to have a little insight into the processes involved in taking a concept like Fordante and turning it into a concert particularly as all of the music has to be orchestrated specifically for our line up of cello, viola, violin, oboe and piano/synth.
Here’s the first release:- a video of Fordante in rehearsals last week in my studio playing the beautiful ‘Gabriel’s Oboe‘ from The Mission composed by Ennio Morricone. It’s a little rough because it was literally a press record and go but you can get the idea..
