In the summer of 2008 the crossover classical group Fordante was born.

Drawing on both his classical and film scoring background Shropshire based film composer Phil Mountford has written music inspired by the great baroque composers and fused this with the style created by more contemporary composers, bringing this melodic and unforgettable sound right into the 21st century.

This unique blend of traditional and modern-day sound takes the listener on an exhilarating musical journey of pure emotion without the need for crossing the scholarly barrier sometimes associated with classical music.
