Phil Mountford is known for his work as a composer for film but Summer 2008 saw the arrival of a musical project that he has been working on for several years – Fordante.  The sound of this crossover classical group has been inspired from years of writing music for film and studying classical music.

The music of Fordante compliments his passion and natural ability to score music to picture, partly due to the style of his classical music – where melody and emotion are key to his compositions.

His film work includes writing the soundtracks to the feature films Veiled Existance, See You At The Alter and Tombraider Ascension in addition to many short films, animations and theatre productions.  He has also been assigned to several forthcoming feature films and is currently scoring the soundtrack to the forthcomming film from Last Independant featuring Les Dennis and a host of other stars in aid of the Macmillan Charity.
