Many thanks to the staff and audience for their help in making the concert so enjoyable and of course to all of the concerts we’ve had the pleasure of creating this past season throughout the UK from Lincolnshire to Gloucestershire.  We’ve already looking forwards to our return to the Regal Theatre in 2015 along with several other dates for the next season – more announced shortly.

Busy Fordante Tour Starts

The tour started well – three concerts already have been performed in Nottinghamshire and we’re off to Lincolnshire tomorrow for another busy weekend with four concerts programmed.

Fordante’s Last Concert of 2012/13 Season – Sat 25 May, Kidderminster

The last concert for the 2012/2013 season is this Saturday at St George’s Church in Kidderminster.  The show starts at 7:30pm and along with the usual program of film music and Fordante’s own music the ensemble will be performing some Strauss and other light classics.

Further information about the concert can be found here.

This does mean we are coming to the end of the 2012/13 season however, it’s going to be an exciting year ahead. Already the number of confirmed concerts for the coming year are over double Fordante’s season this year!

Introducing Fordante – 2 minute mix

Here is a short introduction video to Fordante.  This 2 minute bitesize snapshot is a sample of the some repertoire of beautiful film and popular classical music that Fordante perform.  A great starting point to explore Fordante if you’re short on time…

Fordante video – In concert at Wem Town Hall

Back at the end of March earlier this year Fordante gave a concert at Wem Town Hall in Shropshire.  The video below is of the ensemble performing ‘Sereno’ which is one of their newest pieces composed, as it’s Italian name suggests, to be bright and cheerful.  ‘Sereno’ was inspired in part by the style and sound of the fantastic Italian group Rondo Veneziano.

Another first for the group was to perform with video projected as can be seen in the video.  This imagery worked well and is currently being developed for future shows.
