This video is taken from a concert at the Community 8 Arts Centre, Pershore, where Fordante are performing the main love theme from Titanic also known as “My Heart Will Go On”.
I’ve just uploaded onto YouTube a short 1 minute showreel video with snippets from 3 recent concerts:
We’re looking forward to taking Fordante’s music over to Shrewley in Warwickshire this evening in what I’ve been told is a sellout concert.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience in having to postpone tonight’s concert but I am pleased to announce we’ve been able to reschedule the Shrewley Concert for Saturday 16th February at 8:00pm.
Due to the adverse weather conditions reluctantly Fordante are having to cancel tonight’s concert at Shrewley.
We’re in the process of organising a suitable date which should be announced shortly.
I’m pleased to be able to announce another concert for Fordante on Saturday 4th May. This will be taking place at The Regal arts, cinema & theatre complex at Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire.
I’m particularly looking forward to returning here as I first performed on stage at the Regal over 25 years ago, before most of the other members of Fordante were born!
Full details of dates and venues are on the concerts page shortly.
This video is of Fordante in concert last month at Ledbury Theatre and is an example of how Fordante are integrating video into their performances. The music, ‘Italian Love’ composed by Phil Mountford, is a tale of a love affair taking place in the beautiful city of Venice and is taken from Fordante’s album album The Arrival.
Fordante are looking forward to performing at the Artrix in Bromsgrove, on Sunday 17th February 2013. The concert will include some classic film music aswell as a mix of some of Fordante’s own film inspired and award winning music.
Further details from the Artrix website:
Earlier this month Fordante went back to a really cosy theatre I like performing at Ledbury Market Theatre, Herefordshire. As the theatre is also used as a cinema we were able to incorporate video projection in the concert with a mix of still photos, images and video all created specifically to enhance the music. Feedback was great and the video projection is now something we’re going to include wherever possible. This particularly enhanced a klezmer style piece called ‘The Boy From The Ghetto’ which is one of Fordante’s own compositions telling the story of a young boy growing up in the ghetto of Krakow during the second World War.
